On June 24, the restored WWII documentary Kukan: The Secret of Unconquerable China, winner of a 1942 Special Academy Award, was re-screened at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.

The film, first shown in New York in 1941, was lost for decades until a copy was found in filmmaker Rey Scott's basement in 2009. Its 2025 restoration was led by several Chinese institutions.
