The 10th Beijing International Art Biennial will return in December. For the first time, it will be held at the landmark Beijing Exhibition Center built in the 1950s.

The organizing committee is open to submissions from around the world, targeting works made in the past three years. Paintings, sculptures, installations, mixed-media and digital works are welcome to participate.

This year's exhibition theme is "Coexistence" — fostering development, peace and harmony between humans and nature, and sharing prosperity.

The BIAB, organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Beijing Municipality and the China Artists Association, debuted in 2002. It was first dedicated to paintings and sculptures and later included more art forms to evolve with the intensifying integration of advanced technology with art.

Over the years, featured artworks at the BIAB have also toured other cities at home and abroad.
