An interactive art technology exhibition showcasing the charm and vibrancy of Hong Kong was unveiled in Shanghai on Wednesday, presenting visitors from Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region with opportunities to explore the city's potential in tourism, education, business and investment.

Under the theme "Hong Kong----Where the World Looks Ahead", this immersive touring exhibition, which runs until June 29, uses virtual imagery to display the multifaceted appeal of Hong Kong.

Featuring multiple interactive art projections, light box installations and naked-eye 3D displays, the exhibition consists of five thematic zones including Financial Bridgehead, I&T Brain Bank, Blossoming Creativity, Diversity and Greenery and Buzzing Sports Action.

"Hong Kong and Shanghai are two pearls of the country leading the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta region," said Apollonia Liu, director of Information Services of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, during the opening ceremony.

"There have been many fruitful outcomes from Shanghai-Hong Kong cooperation over the years. Taking economic and trade ties as an example - Hong Kong is Shanghai's major export market and Shanghai's largest source of investment outside Chinese mainland."

The exhibition is co-organized by the Information Services Department, or ISD, of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai, or Shanghai ETO.

Organizers say Shanghai is the sixth stop of the exhibition, following its successful staging in cities on the Chinese mainland, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Middle East between July 2023 and January this year.
