Traditional warning signs prove lifesaving in Guangdong landslide

Early Sunday morning, Zhonghe village in western Guangdong province was struck by a landslide following a day of heavy rains from Typhoon Wutip. Thanks to timely evacuations, no casualties were reported among the village's 25 households and 57 residents.
Authorities credited the successful evacuation to accurate meteorological warnings, rapid emergency response, and the efforts of local officials.
