2024 Tea for Harmony event launched in Yunnan

In addition to viewing the exhibition, visitiors to the event could also shop for tea products at a market, learn about China’s tea-drinking culture, and experience the grandeur of the the ancient Tea Horse Road through an immersive performance.

A number of hands-on activities will be organzied at tree plantations and factories across the country to promote China's traditional tea-processing techniques and associated social practices, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

China's traditional tea-processing techniques and associated social practices were inscribed onto the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2022, while the cultural landscape of old tea forests of the Jingmai Mountain in Pu'er was included in the list in 2023.
