China's top procuratorate orders arrest of former senior provincial legislator

BEIJING -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate on Wednesday said it had ordered the arrest of Su Zengtian, a former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People's Congress, for suspected bribery and abuse of power.
The case of Su, also formerly a deputy secretary of the leading Party members group of the Fujian Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, was investigated by the National Commission of Supervision before being handed over to prosecutors, the SPP said in a statement.
