Suzhou's enchanting Lotus Flower Market, which took the Chinese internet by storm last summer, is set to reopen next Thursday, promising a delightful blend of traditional aesthetics and modern charm.

Nestled beside the picturesque Baita Park, this vibrant market offers a unique glimpse into Suzhou's summer beauty. Adorned in traditional Chinese attire, visitors can select from an array of freshly picked lotus flowers.

The market will showcase blossoms in every stage of bloom. Complementing the flowers will be an assortment of lotus-related products, including lotus seeds, water caltrops, lotus leaves, and seed pods.

For those eager to beat the heat and secure the freshest blooms, early morning visits are a must. By 7 am, the market is already bustling with activity, as daily sales soar past 10,000 flowers and visitor numbers exceed 20,000.

Operating from 6 am to 6 pm, the market offers a unique experience, with afternoon discounts reflecting the flowers' natural decline in freshness. To prolong the life of your floral treasures, consider bringing a bottle of water to keep them hydrated.

This year, the market's organizers are enhancing the experience with a lotus-themed tour. This immersive itinerary connects visitors to Suzhou's renowned gardens, unique shopping districts, delectable cuisine, and boutique hotels, offering a journey through the city's cultural and historical landscape.
