Cargo ship fire in Ningbo: flames extinguished

CCTV News reported that flames caused by an explosion in the containers of a cargo ship at the Zhoushan Port in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, have been extinguished as of 5 pm on Friday.
The incident occurred at around 1:50 pm.
The Ningbo Maritime Search and Rescue Center activated an emergency plan after the incident. It has dispatched patrol boats to the scene for surveillance and coordinated with firefighting forces to carry out emergency response measures, according to a notice issued by the center's office.
No casualties have been reported. The cause of the accident is under investigation, it said.
