China grants Youth May Fourth Medals to 50 bodies

China has granted 30 individuals and 20 organizations the China Youth May Fourth Medal on Monday to praise their contribution to the nation's modern construction and development.
The annual award is recognized as the nation's highest honor for young people aged 14 to 40 and is awarded by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and the All-China Youth Federation.
The award aims to encourage the young generation to forge ahead and devote themselves to the nation's social development by commending some good youth examples. The award was first organized in 1997.
