The Overseas Chinese History Museum of China in Beijing inaugurated an exhibition featuring the landscape photography works of overseas Chinese photographer Zhou Jiexiang on Wednesday.

The exhibition presents 64 of Zhou's photographs, which were captured during his 18 journeys to the Xizang autonomous region, focusing particularly on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Zhou's extensive travels have taken him through sparsely populated areas, granting him the opportunity to witness surreal landscapes. Reflecting on his experiences, Zhou said: "Every time I gaze at the starry sky, stare at the vast ocean, engage in a dialogue with the heaven and the earth, I can hear the surges and fluctuations of my inner self, and witness the abundance and profoundness of life."

Wang Hong, director of the China Society of Overseas Chinese Photographers, commended Zhou's distinct photographic perspective, saying: "Zhou possesses a keen sense of touch and a nimble imagination, refining his eye for photography. Taking on different perspectives, he captures the beauty of western China, reflecting his own photographic personality and artistic pursuit."

The exhibition runs until May 10.
