Three dead, 16 injured in vehicle collision at Zhejiang vocational college
A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday morning at Taizhou Vocational and Technical College in East China's Zhejiang province. A vehicle collision resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to 16 others.
Local police in Taizhou city confirmed the incident in a statement released Tuesday night. The statement revealed that all injured individuals are currently in stable condition.
Initial investigations indicate that the perpetrator, a student at the college identified by his surname Zhang, was driving a vehicle belonging to his family when the collision occurred.
Authorities have taken Zhang into custody as a formal investigation into the incident commences. Police assured the public that efforts to provide medical treatment to the injured and manage the aftermath of the accident are being conducted in an orderly manner.
