Top official of Beijing Sport University under probe


Cao Weidong, Party secretary of Beijing Sport University, is under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline and law.
The investigation was disclosed on Friday on the official website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
He is currently under investigation by the discipline inspection and supervision team stationed at the General Administration of Sport of China from the CCDI and NSC and the supervisory committee of Changchun city, Jilin province.
According to public information, Cao, born in 1968, previously served as the vice-president of Beijing Normal University and the president of Beijing International Studies University.
Since 2017, he has been the Party secretary of Beijing Sport University and the director of the cadre training center of the General Administration of Sport of China.
