2 dead, 2 missing after fishing boat sinks in China's Fujian

FUZHOU -- Two people have been confirmed dead, two have been rescued and another two remain missing as of 7 pm Thursday, after a local fishing boat struck a reef and sank near Zhangzhou city in East China's Fujian province, according to relevant authorities.
All six people aboard fell into the sea as it sank at approximately 2 am on the same day.
Fujian provincial maritime search and rescue center has been carrying out timely search and rescue missions, and it has applied to the Taiwan-based Chinese Search and Rescue Association for assistance.
