Rescue operation concludes after road collapse in Inner Mongolia

Rescue work has been completed for a road collapse accident that occurred on Monday, which led to three deaths and four injuries on the Ereenhot-Guangzhou Expressway in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a statement released by the public security bureau of Ulaanqab city on Tuesday.
The injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment, the statement said.
Late Monday night, a part of the road surface collapsed on the expressway, resulting in four vehicles trapped.
Rescue team including staff members from different departments immediately arrived at the site to carry out rescue work.
The cause of the accident is under further investigation, the statement said.
