China recognizes 104 model units for implementing 'Fengqiao model'

A total of 104 model units were recognized for their performance in implementing the "Fengqiao model" to promote community-level governance at a meeting held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday.
The Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee selected 104 model units that have applied the "Fengqiao model" nationwide.
The "Fengqiao model" was created by residents in Fengqiao, Zhuji city, Zhejiang province, about 60 years ago. It is known for its approach of relying on the people to resolve disputes at the community level, and it has since been promoted across the country.
The awarded model units were encouraged to further develop the "Fengqiao model" for promoting community-level governance in the new era and make greater contributions to advancing the Peaceful China Initiative to a higher level.
