Former provincial political advisor under investigation

BEIJING -- Han Yong, a former senior political advisor of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, is under investigation for suspected severe violations of Party discipline and laws, according to an official statement released Thursday.

Han, former chairperson of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision.
