The Ritz-Carlton Nanjing, located in the eastern province of Jiangsu, has introduced children's rooms centered around the theme of night safari adventures. These rooms feature the mascot of the Ritz Kids program, Leo the Lion, who serves as a travel companion for children, according to the hotel.

Additionally, the rooms are equipped with tents, toy campfires, night-lights, children's tableware, children's backpacks, colored pencils and coloring books, allowing their young guests to immerse themselves in the fun of in-room "camping".

Zhao Huanyan, chief knowledge officer at Huamei Consulting Group based in the southern city of Shenzhen, told China Business Journal that the summer vacation is an important time for hotels.

He suggested that hotels make reasonable use of their "secondary spaces" outside the guest rooms, such as fitness centers, libraries and teahouses, to provide high-quality offerings that go beyond basic needs. This encompasses innovative dining options, wellness services and multidimensional experiences incorporating design, culture and the environment.

For hotels without the space for such activities, Zhao recommended that they explore cross-industry cooperation to provide the desired services. This cooperation can create intangible offerings that satisfy emotional needs and drive consumption, according to Zhao.
