Flood, debris leave 2 dead, 16 missing

Two people were killed and 16 were missing after flood and debris hit Weiziping village in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on Friday evening, local authority said.
Due to the torrential rains, two houses in the village were also washed away on Friday evening and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and power supply were damaged, according to officials.
As of Saturday morning, four trapped individuals were rescued, and some damaged roads were repaired. Search and rescue, evacuation and reinforcement of river embankments was underway.
The Xi'an city government has urged locals not to go to dangerous regions such as mountainous areas and riversides.
