Man detained in Tianjin explosion investigation

A 46-year-old man was detained with suspicion of exploding two residential apartments on Tuesday night in Hedong district, Tianjin, causing three death and multiple injuries, according to an announcement from the district's public security bureau.
It said several houses nearby suffered damage due to the blast, and the preliminary findings suggest that the explosion was caused by the deliberate use of fireworks and firecrackers.
Investigation on the explosion is underway and medical treatment has been provided to the injured individuals.
