Winter wheat harvesting well underway

Data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs showed that 10.2 million hectares of winter wheat have been harvested in China as of Monday, accounting for about 80 percent of the total wheat growing area.
Meanwhile, summer planting is being carried out, the ministry said.
Currently, the wheat harvesting efforts are moving northward to the provinces of Shandong, Shanxi and Hebei.
This year, Shandong has strengthened its support of the facilitation of harvests, according to news website Knews.com.
In Linyi county, local authorities have forged partnerships with 133 framing machinery outlets to provide on-site repair services. It has also opened public places such as citizen squares and set up nearly 1,000 sunbathing sites for harvests, it reported.
