Digital education in-focus at session
Entitled "Promoting Innovative Development of Higher Education with Digital Transformation", a parallel session on higher education was held in Beijing on Tuesday during the World Digital Education Conference.
The session was a way for participants from different countries to share their experience in the digital transformation of higher education, promote the rebuilding of higher education and serve its innovative development.
Almost 3,000 representatives from international organizations, government institutions and universities attended the session online and off at Tsinghua University.
Digitalization has become an important driver for high-quality and sustainable development of higher education in all countries. China has pushed forward the digital transformation of higher education and made significant progress in the sector, experts said.
The country has built the Smart Education of China platform and hosted the Global MOOC and Online Education Conference for three consecutive years, sharing China's experiences and solutions on digital development in higher education with the world.
Experts at the session called for international organizations, governments, universities and enterprises to work together and promote digital reform and development in education and build a global community of higher education.
