Senior Tibet legislator under investigation

BEIJING -- Ji Guogang, a vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Regional People's Congress, has been placed under investigation for suspected severe violations of Party discipline and laws, an official statement said Wednesday.
Ji is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to the statement.
