The Standing Committee of the 15th People's Congress of Beijing decided to accept Chen Jining's request to resign as the mayor of Beijing at the 44th meeting on Friday.
Yin Yong, born in August 1969, was appointed as the deputy mayor and acting mayor of Beijing, according to a report from Beijing Daily on Friday afternoon.
In July this year, Yin resigned as the deputy mayor of Beijing. Previously, he had been elected to serve as Beijing's deputy Party secretary.
