The Chinese Medical Doctor Association awarded this year's Chinese Physician Prize — the highest honor the nation's medical workers can receive — to 78 recipients on Friday.
This year's honorees include Ding Xiaodong, a rural doctor in Northeast China's Jilin province; Qin Tiehe, an intensive care specialist in Guangdong province who has been working on the frontline of the COVID-19 epidemic; and Ao Yingfang, a sports medicine expert who headed a medical center in Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games.
Friday marked the fifth Chinese Doctors' Day, which was established in 2018 to honor clinical physicians and pay tribute to their contributions to public health.
