Some communities in Zhuanqiao town, which is located within Shanghai's Minhang district, having been using drones to inform residents to do free nucleic acid tests. The move comes as part of efforts to reduce manpower requirements during the current COVID-19 outbreak in the city.
An official of Zhuanqiao town said that using drones allows authorities to inform more people while using lesser manpower. Apart from the drones, staff have also been using loudspeakers to alert communities of the closed-loop management that is currently in effect in Zhuanqiao.
