Cold chain transport sector strengthening epidemic procedures
The Ministry of Transport has strengthened epidemic control to better manage imported food via cold chain transportation, an official from the ministry said on Wednesday.
The ministry asked transport service providers to carry out closed-loop management on staff members in high-risk positions, such as porters and janitors who have direct contact with cold chain imported food, said Han Jinghua, deputy director of the ministry’s transport service department.
During work time, instead of going home every day, personnel are asked to live in a separate residence to avoid direct contact with family members and people from the community.
Frontline worker protection must also be increased, as well as the frequency of nucleic acid tests.
Han added it is disinfection of working environments must be strengthened, and cargo information must be recorded carefully.
