University teacher stabbed to death in Shanghai

A male university teacher was stabbed to death on campus in Shanghai by a colleague on Monday, the municipal police said.
The deceased, surnamed Wang, who was 49 years old, was stabbed with a knife by his 39-year-old colleague surnamed Jiang, also a university teacher, at nearly 3 pm Monday. Ambulance workers confirmed Wang died on the scene.
Police rushed to the scene and brought Jiang under control. The university is on Handan Road in Yangpu district, police said.
Jiang confessed in preliminary police interrogations he bore a grudge against the victim due to work-related reasons. Police said Jiang has been criminally detained and the case is under further investigation.
