"Party history will be told with more details, stories and historical figures, to increase the attractiveness and appeal of the training," he said. For example, descendants of revolutionary martyrs were invited to talk with the trainees.

The academy can receive 500 people at the same time. By March, 1,988 training programs have been organized, involving 100,000 people, according to Mei.

The academy also strives to be a window for international exchange and cooperation, he said. It organized 63 group tours overseas, and received more than 70 groups of foreign visiting groups.

Yang Shaohua, a professor at the academy, said that the number of trainees is expected to increase this year because the epidemic situation is under control and the Party history study is promoted nationwide.

This year, the academy will develop some courses to review the history of the CPC's 100 years, he said.

Zheng Xiaoming, who joined the Party in 2008 and is the deputy general manager of Hunan Sports Industrial Group Co, is attending a training session for bureau-level Party cadres from all over the country in Jinggang Mountains this month.

He said: "Studying here can concretize the abstract concept and give me deep inner touch."

"The goal set by the enterprise depends on all staff members to achieve together, just like the Jinggang Mountains spirit of depending on the masses for revolution," he added.

Luo Jinfei, deputy head of the Hebei district government in Tianjin, another trainee in the session, said: "As a leading cadre at the grassroots level, it's important for me to understand the needs of the masses."
