The test questions for applicants aged above 70 are the same as other candidates. In addition, there are three extra tests for the elderly, including tests of their memory, judgment and response time.
Some of the drivers' schools in Yinchuan are equipped with specialized chairs and services for the elderly.
"Now that our living conditions are much better, I want to get a driver's license, buy a car and travel around the country with my wife," Zhu said.
