Galanz unveils high-tech appliance to disinfect indoor air

Galanz Group, one of the leading enterprises in the Chinese household electrical appliance industry, launched on Tuesday in Beijing a new product to help detect and destroy 99 percent or more of indoor air pollutants, including airborne viruses.
The product features the world-leading tech known as NanoStrike. It can sterilize and eradicate harmful airborne biological agents, and it works differently than more conventional solutions, such as UV lighting.
It only takes 9 minutes to disinfect a room of 30 square meters, Liang Huiqiang, vice-president of the group, said at the launch ceremony.
With the new tech, the product could help remove 99.99 percent of H1N1 virus in a room of 30 square meters in just an hour, according to a testing report issued by Guangdong Detection Center of Microbiology.
Amid the worldwide COVID-19 epidemic, the product is capable of providing reliably clean air while helping relieve people's anxiety about the virus, said Liang.
It sells for 98,000 yuan, much less than similar products from other countries.
Galanz also donated some of its first round of products to entities such as
