A total of seven counties, including Yudu, Xingguo, Ningdu, Ganxian, Poyang, Xiushui and Duchang, are now lifted out of poverty in East China's Jiangxi province, according to a press conference in Nanchang, the provincial capital, on Sunday.
This means that all 25 formerly impoverished counties in Jiangxi have been lifted out of poverty, a milestone in the province's poverty alleviation development.
Jiangxi, a key old revolutionary area in China, registered 3.46 million people in poverty by the end of 2013.
