Thirteen foreigners have been deported by Chinese police as they were caught entering China illegally from Bainan town in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region one week ago, according to information released on the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC and the National Supervisory Commission on Sunday.
The town borders Vietnam and has set up 83 patrol groups and 17 check-points to prevent imported cases of novel coronavirus infections, according to Yang Jianfeng, the secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection in Bainan town.
Since Guangxi has no new local confirmed cases, imported cases from abroad have grown to be a critical challenge.
