Hubei tourist attractions to give free admission to medical workers
Hubei - epicenter of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak - will off free admission to its A-rated tourist attractions to medical workers supporting the province amid the epidemic.
According to a notice by the province's culture and tourism department on Thursday, the policy is also available to medical workers serving in local hospitals and medical units.
The culture and tourism department will give a "thanksgiving card" to medical team members who have supported to the province, with which they can take repetitive trips to any Hubei scenic spot free of charge with one family member. The card will be valid through Dec 31, 2024.
As for local medical workers, they can visit tourist attractions with their identification for free, and the bonus period will end on Dec 31, 2021.
The province has encouraged its tourist attractions to launch special offers to medical workers, which will be recognized as an important element for the attractions' evaluations.
The government will give subsidies and allowance to those attractions who receive more medical workers, while giving them higher discounts on tickets or services.
