Intercity buses between Beijing and neighboring Hebei province are gradually resuming operation, as people return to work after the Spring Festival holiday, according to the Hebei Provincial Bureau of Transport.
The buses, halted at the end of January as a measure to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, started to resume routes on Monday.
Considering infections caused by the virus are still increasing, the bureau said the interval between departures will be extended and there will be no in-between stops along the lines in the beginning.
After the epidemic is under control, all lines will be resumed, it added.
