A man who allegedly stabbed four people at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital with a knife this week has been arrested on intentional homicide charges after Beijing prosecutors approved the move on Wednesday.
The approval, announced by prosecutors on Wednesday, followed a review by the No 3 branch of the Beijing People's Procuratorate, which received the case from the municipal Public Security Bureau on Tuesday.
Chaoyang police said Cui Zhenguo, 36, tried to escape after wounding three medical workers and another person at the hospital at around 2 pm on Monday. They caught him soon afterward, with help from hospital security guards.
The four injured people are not in critical condition.
