8 dead in traffic accident in East China

HEFEI -- Eight people were killed in a traffic accident on Wednesday afternoon in Hefei, capital of eastern China's Anhui province.
According to local public security bureau, the accident occurred at around 1:50 pm near Changfeng county in Hefei. A truck collided head-on with a car, killing seven people. Another person was dead later in hospital.
Investigation is underway.
