Lam: HKSAR govt to continue to support district councils

The SAR government will continue to support the district councils, regardless of their political makeup, Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said ahead of Tuesday's Executive Council meeting.

Regretting the fact that many newly-elected district councilors from the opposition camp have said in public that they won't attend the briefing at the Government House on Friday, she expressed her hope they would change their mind, considering the importance of this long-standing tradition.
