Snow, ice arenas open to public for winter fun in Beijing

BEIJING - Nearly 1 million square meters of area for winter sports have been opened to the public in Beijing, creating fun for residents and tourists, the Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks said.
According to the center, six parks and 14 winter sports arenas have been opened, including natural and man-made snow and ice arenas.
Residents and tourists can enjoy winter sports such as skiing and diverse entertainment activities.
The Kunming Lake at the Summer Palace has also been turned into an ice arena, covering an area of 700,000 square meters. It is the largest natural ice arena in downtown Beijing.
