Beijing railway police launch anti-drug campaign

BEIJING - Beijing railway police have launched a special campaign to crack down on drug crimes that take within its jurisdiction.
The campaign, which will run through March 15, 2020, focuses on checking trains, train stations, cargo, and people suspected of being involved in drug crimes.
Police will also organize anti-drug promotional events at workplaces along railway routes and enhance education for railway staff on the subject.
Since 2017, Beijing railway police have checked more than 30,000 people involved in drug crimes, cracked 13 cases of drug transportation, and seized over 9.2 kg of drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin.
