A total of 28 traditional gourmet food and creative culture item providers displayed their products at the Renmin University of China in Beijing on November 6.

Visitors took part in tasting, watching experienced pastry masters make classic traditional food, and buying things that caught their fancy at the fair.

The three-day fair was hosted by the university and the Beijing TV Station and aimed to help college students better understand what the capital has to offer and broaden their views, according to the organizers.

Some of the participants will be selected to feature in the urban gourmet food documentary Beijing Taste, which will air on the TV station's life channel later this year, to show the diversity of Chinese dishes and their impact on people lives.
