The She people living in an ancient village in Jiangxi province joined the nationwide celebrations for the 70th anniversary of New China's founding in late September.

Bamboo dancing and folk music were not the only things on offer for visitors to Tianlong village in Xinfeng county, Ganzhou city. Villagers of the She ethnic group had prepared something special for the occasion — a giant national flag and a totem pattern of the She people, made of 240 kilograms of red chilies and 150 kg of grain, were laid out on a square of the village.

Over 40 aerial photographers from all over the country took part in the celebrations. With their drones, they caught a bird's-eye view of this unique artwork on the ground below as part of their tour of Jiangxi organized by the Ganzhou government and the China News Service.

With a history spanning over 600 years, Tianlong village has been home to the She people since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

"The beautiful landscape and well-preserved ethnic culture make it an attractive destination for photographers," said Wang Zheng, a photographer with Inner Mongolia Daily.

The media group also visited other popular tourist sites in Ganzhou, such as the Hakka people's weiwu or walled residence in Longnan county, and the Nanwudang Mountains.
