French jewelry brand releases new collection

In 1936, Fred Samuel from a jewellers' family in Argentina moved to Paris and started his own brand.

His inspiration most came from the sea, sun and light.

The brand's trademark piece, a bracelet called the Force 10 which started to sell in 1966, was inspired by a gift that his son gave to his wife, a braided sailing cable fastened with a buckle in shape of a carabiner.

In 1996, the brand was taken over by the LVMH group.
