No casualties reported after magnitude 5.7 quake hits Sichuan

CHENGDU -- No casualties have been reported after a magnitude 5.7 earthquake jolted the county of Xingwen in Yibin city, Sichuan province, at 12:46 pm Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the local government.
The epicenter was monitored at 28.24 degrees north latitude and 104.95 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 12 km, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.
The quake was also felt in Yibin and several other nearby cities, including Chengdu and Chongqing.
