Ministry: Rephotographing ID photos allowed if not satisfied

When taking photos for ID cards, people could ask to be rephotographed more times if not satisfied, the Ministry of Public Security said Thursday, announcing one of their latest measures to provide more convenient services to the public.
The ministry launched six measures for further implementing the reform of the simplification of administrative procedures for individuals as well as companies. These include simplifying the procedures and reduce the time for setting up companies, reducing or exempting business certification materials, providing convenient services for people to obtain ID cards and residence permits, and optimizing management services for hukou, or household registration.
"When citizens are applying for ID cards, they can take photos three times and choose the one they are satisfied with," said Li Jingsheng, director of the security administration under the ministry.
Enterprises and citizens can also consult hukou policies, make appointments for hukou transaction services, and inquire about processing progress online through the official website of the local public security organ.
