Over the past five years, the National Art Museum of China in Beijing has collaborated with major art institutions in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative to stage well-acclaimed exhibitions, coupled with lectures and education programs.

Now, to boost these connections, the Silk Road International Alliance of Art Museums and Galleries was established in Beijing on Tuesday, involving museums and cultural institutions from 18 countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Meanwhile, a display of 17 artworks from participating museums is on show at the NAMOC this week.
