A concert, Happy Chinese New Year — Classic Film Symphony, was held in Ottawa, Canada on Jan 7. As an event commemorating the 2018 Chinese New Year, the concert unveiled the celebrations of Chinese Lunar New Year in the country.
Han Tao, the charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Canada, and many Chinese and Canadian officials attended the concert, along with about one thousand locals.
The concert featured 20 songs from classic films, including Star Wars, La La Land and Wolf Totem.
2018 Happy Chinese New Year celebrations in Ottawa include a dragon boat on ice festival, a gala, a New Year's concert at Carleton University and a number of Chinese music lectures.
