BEIJING -- An art exhibition celebrating the ancient silk routes and the Belt and Road Initiative is going on at the China National Academy of Painting (CNAP).
The exhibition displays 112 works of art, including traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints and public art installations, produced by CNAP members.
The academy initiated the project in 2014, selecting 258 topics which feature the Silk Road and arranging for artists to visit regions along the Belt and Road for inspiration.
Yang Xiaoyang, CNAP president, said every artwork highlights the artist's distinct style.
The exhibition will run until May 16.
