On March 7, 1931, the First Front Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army issued a general order amended by Mao Zedong on local armed forces carrying out a guerrilla war and supporting the main forces of the Red Army to annihilate the enimies.
The order elaborated on the 10 tasks and methods for the local armed forces, including harassing the enemy, blocking the enemy, intercepting the enemy, attacking the enemy, entrapping the enemy, capturing the enemy, wearing out the enemy, starve out the enemy and blinding up the enemy.
