Turkey says concerned over deaths in Egypt

ANKARA - Turkey is concerned over the deaths and injuries in clashes in Egypt's capital of Cairo, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement late Monday.

"It is an obligation for all parties to behave carefully, wisely and with common sense and to refrain from violence in order to progress in the transitional process and to achieve constitutional democracy target," the statement said.

The statement, which also expressed deep sorrow over Egypt's losses, said Turkey would continue to support Egypt in efforts to conclude the transitional process in a harmonious and peaceful way.
