11 soldiers injured in Kenya by roadside blast

Xinhua | Updated: 2011-11-24 17:04

NAIROBI - Some 11 soldiers were injured on Thursday after a military vehicle they were boarding was hit by a roadside bomb in Mandera, a town in northern Kenya bordering Somalia and Ethiopia, military sources said.

There were a series of attacks on Kenya's security forces along its border with Somalia, since the east African country sent its military forces across the border to fight Al-Shabaab, an Al-Qaeda- linked militant group.
